About Cloud Nine Training School for Dogs

Meet Dawn Glaser-Falk

A lifetime of dogs. A passion for training.
A better life together.

Hi, I’m Dawn Glaser-Falk, owner of Cloud Nine Training School for Dogs in Maple Grove, Minnesota. For nearly 35 years, dogs have been a huge part of my life — raising them, training them, showing them, breeding them, rehabbing them and, most importantly, learning from them.

Throughout those years, I’ve also had the privilege of helping countless people better understand, train and enjoy life with their dogs.

My Story

After more than 20 years of working with my own dogs, teaching classes for another training school, training assistance dogs, attending seminars throughout the country and learning everything I could about canine training and behavior, I decided it was time to create a training school of my own.

I wanted a place where positive, reward-based and science-based training methods were the norm. A place where force, pain and punishment were not part of the training process — and where both people and dogs would genuinely enjoy coming to learn.

The result? Cloud Nine Training School for Dogs.

My Training Philosophy

My goal has always been to make training something dogs and their people can enjoy together. I believe in positive, reward-based, science-based and motivating training methods that help dogs learn while building trust, confidence and a stronger relationship with their handlers.

At Cloud Nine, pinch or prong collars, choke collars and e-collars are not part of our training approach. Force, pain and punishment are not the answer. Instead, we focus on helping dogs understand what we want from them and rewarding the behaviors we want to see more often.

Every dog is different. Some learn quickly. Some make us work a little harder. And some of the most challenging dogs are the ones who teach us the most.

Training isn't just about teaching dogs new skills - it's about giving them the tools to live a happier, more confident life, and helping the people who love them enjoy the journey, too.

The Dogs Who Shaped My Journey

Over the years, I've been lucky to share my life with some pretty amazing dogs.

Each one has taught me something special and helped shape the trainer I am today.

Different Dogs

Same incredible lessons.

✓ Classes for puppies to advanced competitors
✓ A welcoming, supportive training community

Dixon

A rescue Sheltie who challenged me in the best ways and went on to earn advanced agility titles. Working with him gave me an entirely new level of training and rehabilitation experience. He eventually became a competition agility dog and competed in the Master class.

Darla

An English Toy Spaniel and the only dog of her breed to earn the AKC Master Agility Champion title three times, qualifying for the AKC Agility Invitational five times and qualifying for the AKC Agility Nationals twice.

Piper

Piper — CH Be Bop A Lula, CD — was my first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and taught me just how much work training a little dog could be! With patience, plenty of rewards and determination, Piper earned her Canine Good Citizen certification, AKC breed championship and AKC Companion Dog title.

Alex

A shelter dog who became a service demonstration dog and inspired me to try toy dogs. Using positive training and gentle behavior-modification techniques, Axle eventually became a highly skilled dog for Helping Paws and Hearing and Service Dogs of Minnesota.

Ginger & Sophie

My first dogs as an adult were Shelties, Ginger and Sophie. I had a blast training them, earned several AKC performance titles with them and received my first real introduction to the world of animal training.
