Agility Classes
Build confidence, teamwork and skills while having fun on the course.
Our agility classes are designed for dogs of all ages and skill levels — from brand new to the sport to advanced teams working toward competition. You’ll develop a stronger bond, improve communication and give your dog a fun, rewarding outlet for their natural abilities.

Weave Works
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a dog who can weave independently and speedily? Whether you’re ready to teach your dog how to weave or would like to improve your dog’s current weaving skills, you’ll want to join our Weave Works class.
This class uses an incremental approach with channel weaves. Success depends on your ability to work your dog in short, frequent training sessions with multiple repetitions, so you must be able to attend all four lessons.

Agility Skillz: Running A-Frame
Teams will be introduced to Rachel Sanders’ “Reliable Running A-Frames” method using a PVC “box,” and should be able to transfer ground work behavior to the A-frame at the end of these first six lessons.
Students will be expected to make their own frame for use at home and at class, and they are expected to do their homework!

Agility Foundation Skillz
A solid foundation is essential for a safe, confident and successful agility team. Our six progressive Foundation Skillz classes build the skills you and your dog need to navigate obstacles, develop teamwork and gain the confidence to move forward in the sport.
You must complete all six Skillz classes (in order) before you are eligible for the Beginning Agility class. Not sure if agility is a good fit for your dog? Try our Doggy Gym activity for a fun, low-key introduction!

Beginning Agility
Put it all together! In Beginning Agility you'll apply the skills you learned in the Foundation classes to start working on short course sequences. The equipment is full size and your dog will jump their official, measured height. Course analysis and handling strategies are also introduced.

BEGNNING AGILITY

Take your skills to the next level! Teams will work through longer, Novice-level courses while continuing to improve connection, turns and obstacle performance.

Intermediate Agility
As your dog’s confidence and accuracy grow, and as your handling ability improves, you’ll push for speed and increased distance on longer courses. Continued attention to contact behavior and advanced handling techniques are key parts of this level.
We also offer an Intermediate/Advanced class for teams ready for the next step.

Advanced Agility
Once the pieces are in place, it’s all about practice, practice, practice! Advanced Agility covers weave-pole entries, 270s, serpentines, front and rear crosses, blind crosses, obstacle discriminations and more. Course analysis and advanced handling strategies are also included.

Agility Open Ring Time
Agility Open Ring Time allows you a chance to run your dog through an entire course and/or work on specific obstacles and sequences — on your own, one dog at a time, for three minutes at a time. This activity takes place at our New Hope school.
This activity is for dogs and handlers who have completed all six Foundation Skillz classes at Cloud Nine or the equivalent.
Please RSVP 24 hours in advance so we know to expect you or so we can contact you in case there is a change of schedule.
