Scent Work &
Tracking
Dogs experience the world through their noses! Scent Work and Tracking give your dog the opportunity to use those natural abilities while building confidence, independence and problem-solving skills.
From searching for specific odors to following scent trails outdoors, Cloud Nine’s Scent Work and Tracking classes provide fun, rewarding challenges for dogs and handlers of all experience levels.
Intro to Scent Work
Let your dog put their nose to work! Dogs are introduced to the game of searching using boxes and a favorite toy or high-value treat. The goal is to build confidence, enthusiasm and independent problem-solving skills while introducing dogs to a variety of search environments.
As your dog develops their searching skills, the challenges increase and the target odor of birch is introduced. Handlers also learn how to recognize when their dog is saying, “I found it!”
